Learning outcomes
|
The course provides an in-depth overview of Czech art from 1970 to 1980. In the individual tendencies are continuously monitored contexts with European and North American art. The emphasis is placed on the interpretation of works. There are explained not only the art displays but also artworks of key art theorists. The artistic development of the key personalities in every tendency is explained in detail. As a part of this subject is included visit of permanent expositions, exhibitions and lectures of artists/specialists.
Students are able to work with academic literature and also to compile their own academic essay on given topic. They are active in discussion.

Basic orientation in art history and active participation in discussion on theoretical topics.
