Learning outcomes
|
The subject is oriented to improvement of existing knowledge and skills which are necessary to devise of own curatorial project and to orientation of contemporary gallery and art scene with gallery experience. Students familiarize with types and operation of exhibition institutions in Czech Republic through own presentations and collective visits of exhibitions. They are inform about currently curatorial exhibitions and introduced to questions of contemporary art creation. In the course students work on their conception of own curatorial projects. For an project they prepare concrete curatorial goal with respect to contemporary art and gallery scene. Every project is continuously consulted in lectures.
Students differentiate types of exhibition institutions by functions and activities. They devise own curatorial project with respect to currently questions of contemporary art. They draw up a budget of exhibition and recommend funds.

Basic orientation in area of contemporary art and overview of institutions in Czech Republic which represent this country.
