Theoretical seminar: 1. Athletics for kids (organization, content, competitions, athletic tools) 2. Structure, content and management of athletic operations in a training 3. Specification of the content and organization of athletic activities for seniors and handicaped people. 4. Preparation and organization of the athletic race. Practical exercises: 1. Athletic activities for pre-school children. 2. Athletic activities for younger children. 3. Athletic activities for seniors. 4. Athletics for physicaly and psychically handicaped. 5. The application of athletic activities outdoors. 6. The application of athletic activities in a gym. 7. The application of athletic activities ina gymnasium. 8. The use of athletic tools in the training of youngsters (balance exercises etc.) 9. Organization of athletic event according to instructions.

Learning outcomes |
The aim of the study-unit is to familiarize students with the use of athletic training means and methods in the development of motor skills in terms of fitness for persons of different ages and persons with disabilities. They learn how to apply athletic funds in non-traditional environments - the terrain, gym. At the same time, students will create suitable container athletic exercises to develop each of motor skills. In methodical demonstrate the practical application of knowledge gained from previous studies of athletics. Part of the course is to gain practical experience in the preparation and organization of athletics.
Students completing the course: - Be able to demonstrate theoretical knowledge in the field of motion abilities development. - Can choose appropriate athletic exercises for the development of individual motion abilities. - Can explain principles of motion abilities development according to a certain age group or a handicap. - Students can apply the knowledge achieved in the course with groups of different age or handicap. - Can apply fitness exxercises in different environment. - Be able to compose and lead a training lesson concentrating on the development of certain motion abilities where athletic exercises are used. - Can design a monthly fitness program with athletic exercises dedicated to certain age group or handicaped people. - Can organize athletic event. |
