Course content
|
1. Introduction to the study. History and development of dance. Dance styles and trends. Rhythmicity of movement and perception of music. 2. -3. Standard dances. Basic attitude and possession, importance in society. Practicing basic dance steps (Waltz, Waltz, Tango, Slowfoxtrot and Quickstep) and sets to music. 4.- 7. Latin-American dances. Basic attitude and possession, importance in society. Practicing basic dance steps (Samba, Chacha, Rumba, Jive, Salsa) and sets to music. Latin single show. 8.- 10. Modern dance (contemporary-stage, disco, street forms, shuffle, Port de Brass, etc.). Practicing basic steps and dance groups to music). 11. Dance fitness, Cardio- a form of modern dance. 12. Dance for preschool children and children of younger school age. Specifics. Movement compositions with rhymes and children's songs. 13. - 14. Folk and country dances. Specifics. Rehearsal of selected dances (Jungle Freak line dance, Village western, Blues, etc.).

Learning outcomes
|
Students will get acquainted with dance forms applicable to different age groups (children and youth, adults and seniors). The environment of dance phases of various dance styles to print specific movement skills and movement abilities (especially kinesthetic-differentiation, rhythmic, joint mobility, speed of movement of body segments, etc.). Students will get acquainted with the principles and methods of teaching dance with respect to age categories.
The student will gain a theoretical overview of dance forms and styles, history, development and current trends, perceive rhythm (or recognize accented times) and start moving to music, can choose dance, especially on the basis of the intensity and suitability of the musical composition for the age category, is able to demonstrate the basic steps of dance, they will get acquainted with the methods, principles of teaching and with the basics of creating dance choreography (formation position in space, effects of arm movement, etc.), they will get acquainted with ethics - dealing with music media.

Attendance and active participation in seminars (80%). Demonstration of dance moves accompanied by music. Seminar work - preparation for a dance unit.
