Course content

1. Theoretical introduction - introduction of hip hop culture (old and new school), choice of music, rhythm of dance. Dance training - developing flexibility with music, dance position and basic steps. 2.- 9. Training selected dance steps - rehearsal in combination with music, teaching methods and creation choreography. 10.-14. Didactic outputs.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with modern dance with a focus on the hip hop style, which is currently a sought-after physical activity. Students will get acquainted with individual dance steps, teaching methods, appropriate division of the exercise unit and physiological principles of the training process. Teaching is focused on the practical possibilities of using modern forms of movement with music in school physical education, organized exercise units (circles), etc. Teaching is focused mainly on practical skills, but also theoretical knowledge (unit construction, music selection, rhythm of steps, dance nomenclature, etc.). The student will gain basic knowledge about creating simple choreographies of modern dance style, will be equipped with skills and knowledge of organizational and methodological activities usable in pedagogical and coaching practice, or in leisure centers.
- Students will be able to implement independently on the basis of acquired knowledge and acquisition of skills hip hop dance style training units with music in school physical education, circles and more equipment. - They will be equipped with skills and knowledge of organizational and methodological activities usable in pedagogical and coaching practice. - They will know and be able to apply the basic principles of dance (hygiene, creation of compositions from short musical sequences, ...) and acquire basic knowledge of teaching methods for different age groups and creating simple choreographies.

Assessment methods and criteria

Active participation in seminars. Verification of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, when students demonstrate on the basis of acquired knowledge, acquired skills and teaching methods to independently perform a dance moves accompanied by music. Didactic output in the field of modern dances.
