Learning outcomes
The main objective of the course is to support students in the development of their knowledge, skills and competencies related to the integration of science from independent fields of science (physics, chemistry, biology) on the example of health and healthy lifestyle. This interdisciplinary topic is an important educational content of primary science and its content is a suitable material for integration. Emphasis will be placed on the application of knowledge on the issue of health protection and promotion to the didactic level of primary science. A partial goal is to acquire skills to apply innovative educational methods to teaching such as science family education, which extends from formal to non-formal education of children and adults. An important partial goal is also the development of students' competences to motivate pupils with special educational content such as ?science for a life?. At the end of the course students should be able to: ? be well versed in the professional discourse of sciences dealing with health education and healthy lifestyle issues; ? systematize selected knowledge of health education and healthy lifestyle (health and illnesses; connections between health, living conditions and the environment; principles of healthy lifestyle etc.) that occur in primary natural science; ? to establish the basics of the integration of science knowledge (major physical, chemical and biological factors threatening health and their effects on the human body); ? to find appropriate teaching technology (methods, forms and means) how to properly integrate integrated health and healthy lifestyle knowledge into primary science; ? use the integrated content of health education and healthy lifestyles to meet the main educational objectives, such as key pupils' competences and skills for life and work, which are gaining importance today (eg communication and discussion between healthy nutrition pupils, establishing hypotheses about illness related to an unhealthy lifestyle, drawing conclusions about the impact of stress on health, arguments for a healthy lifestyle to prevent disease, etc.); ? know and master innovated learning strategies and methods suitable for integrated content (IBSE, etc.); ? be able to create teaching resources (experiments, tasks, didactic tests, ICT and multimedia applications, etc.) and apply them in formal and non-formal education; have basic self-reflection skills
