Course content
Characteristics of individually optimal posture and anatomical physiological basics of compensatory exercises. Fundamentals of neurophysiological patterns of management, regulation and control of skeletal muscle activity. Compensatory exercises in the training process and recommendations for physical training. Didactic principles of compensatory exercise stretching and strengthening exercises in selected sports disciplines. Breathing and relaxation exercises - self-training, performance check. Practice of posture fixation in basic positions (horizontal, vertical - sed, kneeling, standing). Direct, rotational, spinal and balance exercises, relaxation and stretching exercises usable as a means of compensation in sports disciplines. Compensatory exercises targeting the lumbar spine (hip region, gluteal muscles, abdominal muscles, muscles in the back of the limbs, lumbar trimmers and lumbar muscle). Compensatory exercises focused on the upper body and head area. Compensatory exercises in selected sporting disciplines with a significant one-sided burden (as students choose - tennis, fencing, badminton, volleyball, handball, golf). Compensatory exercises in sports disciplines with a heavy load of selected muscle groups (as selected by students - cycling, canoeing, skating, hockey). Model situations and rehearse individual solutions. Student outputs on a given topic, evaluation of outputs and subsequent discussion. A calculus test and the granting of credits.

Learning outcomes
The object of teaching the subject is to provide students with insights into the important and indispensable exercise activities of each sport engaged in compensatory exercise. Attention will be paid to baseline characteristics, anatomical-physiological and neurophysiological patterns, division of compensatory exercises with focus on different sports sectors and recommendations for practice. Practical exercises will focus on training and creating a reservoir of compensatory exercises to sports disciplines. This will give students a reservoir of exercises for selected weakenings that result from one-sided sports loads. Attention will also be paid to didactic principles when conducting a compensation exercise.
The student will be able to: - characterize the correct posture, or areas with weakening, - create a compensation exercise for a particular sport sector - organising and leading a group of athletes in accordance with the didactic principles of compensatory exercises, - Develop a training plan for the offsetting exercise of the sport sector.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of biomedical background (anatomy, physiology), knowledge of subjects Health physical education
