The aim of the subject is to acquire knowledge and skills in the field of teaching athletics at the I.st. elementary schools. At the same time, provide students with basic knowledge of didactics of athletics as part of preparation for teaching physical education at the 1st grade of primary school. The student will become familiar with the methodology of training basic athletic disciplines, with the most common mistakes during their execution and exercises to eliminate them. At the same time, they will become familiar with the means of developing movement skills using athletic exercises and the principles of their development in children of younger school age. The student will also learn about the use of digital technologies in the teaching of athletics with the aim of developing digital literacy among pupils.
