Course content
1. Health - definition of health and disease, determinants of health, health promotion and prevention. Government regulations, strategies, projects. Documentation and relevant legislation. 2. Health - health promotion at school, project "School supporting health". Framework educational programs, the area of Man and Health. 3. Health 21 - Health for all into the 21st century. 4. Physical activity, physical fitness, posture, hypokinesia as a part of the lifestyle of the current population, the importance of movement. The role of physical activity in the cultivation of health, the possibility of influencing the physical activity of children in the school environment. 5. Lifestyle - a look at the lifestyle of our generation and previous generations, the search for differences. 6. Lifestyle - positives and negatives between different periods within human civilization. 7. Nutrition - components of nutrition, improper nutrition, nutritional recommendations for the population of the Czech Republic. 8. Nutrition - principles of children's nutrition, discussion on the topic of ÉČKA, food supplements, natural foods, vitamins, GMOs. 9. Prevention of diseases of civilization - obesity, cardiovascular diseases, vaccinations, diabetes mellitus, allergies, oncological diseases. 10. Drugs - terminology, classification, education of children and adolescents in drug prevention. 11. Adolescence and critical milestones in the predatory development of an individual. 12. The role of the CZSO and sports associations, the interconnection of the activities of sports associations with the bodies of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the National Sports Agency. 13. Club - section activity in connection with strategic documents of health cultivation and healthy lifestyle. 14. Panel discussion - on selected topics (papers).

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with basic knowledge in the field of sports organization and healthy lifestyle, which is very neglected today. Students will get acquainted with the concepts of lifestyle, health at practical seminars, they will get acquainted with the role of physical activity on individual organ systems, with the principles of healthy eating and the role of basic components of nutrition on the organism. Another area of interest will be devoted to the prevention of diseases of civilization, drug prevention and the environment.
Demonstrated skills: After graduation, the student is able to clarify the basic knowledge and principles of: - Health, fitness, proper nutrition, healthy lifestyle. - Diseases of civilization and their prevention. - Drug prevention, adolescence, health cultivation.

Assessment methods and criteria

Active participation in teaching. Preparation and fulfillment of assigned tasks in the form of worksheets and assigned seminar work focusing on the importance of physical activity for quality of life. Credit test.
