Course content
Themes of the lectures: Immediate resuscitation - breathing. Immediate resuscitation circular system. Bandage technique. Sports injuries acute and chronical. Shock, syncope. Bleeding. Fractures, luxation, distortion. Injury of head and chest. Abdominal and genitals injury, polytrauma. Spine and spinal cord injury, mass injury, disasters. Acute intoxication, acute affection caused by physical reasons. First aid during serious traffic accident, positions. Hygiene I hygiene of pedagogical process, biorhythms, epidemiologies. Hygiene II hygiene of physical education equipments. Pannel discussion. Themes of practical lessons: Practise of immediate resuscitation breathing. Practise of immediate resuscitation circular system. Syncope, stabilizing body position. Bandage techniques principles. Scarf bandages. Roller bandages. How to stop bleeding. Fractures first aid treatment Kinesio/Taping techniques. First aid practise during internal injuries. First aid practise during abdominal and chest injuries. First aid practise during head and spine injuries. Practise of different position and transport of injured person. Attendance of physical education institution sanitary supervision.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the study-unit is to familiarize students with the principles of selected aspects of sports traumatology, emergency procedures and hygiene in relation to PE and sports. Emphasis is placed on the practice of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, a procedure for shock, bleeding, fractures and other sports injuries, including bandaging techniques and information on health policies related to physical activity and sport. Students completing the course will acquire theoretical knowledge of first aid, sports traumatology including its prevention and public health policy related to physical activity and sport. The seminars will be particularly skills that will allow it during sporting activities to save lives, provide first aid to all forms of injury.
After passing this subject the student is able to show basic theoretical and also practical knowledge focused on presented issues, especially on: - Basics of sports traumatology - First aid during physical ecuation and sport - Hygiene of pedagogical process. - Hygiene of physical education institutions. The student will be able to provide first aid focused on immediate resuscitation, first aid of the all aspects of physical load. The student will be able to provide transport for injured person. The student will also know the most common used bandages techniques (scarf bandages, roller bandages, tapes).
