The aim of the study-unit is to acquaint students with the basics of human physiology. In practical lectures, students will be taught how to evaluate basic physiological characteristics of the body, that students can aplly in their future practice. Most topics are mainly focused on the evaluation of the respiratory and circulatory system. The aim of the lectures is to explain the physiological processes of individual processes at the cellular level of the physiology of the organs and systems. Students completing the course will acquire theoretical and practical knowledge of human physiology with emphasis on cardiovascular and musculoskeletal system. The practical seminars will be focused on the monitoring of a certain physiological parameters of the human body and somatic characteristics of the organism.
After finishing this subject the student is able to show basic theoretical and practical knowledge from functional anatomy focused on presented themes: - Cell, issues and internal body environment - Central nervous system and autonomic nervous system, - Analysers - respiratory system - Circular system and blood - Alimentary system - Excretory system - Endocrine system. In practical exercises he will gain knowledge about the evaluation of basic somatic indicators (basic anthropometry- height, weight, width, length and circumference parameters, calibration, BIA, etc.), circulatory indicators (heart rate and blood pressure, systolic heart volume, ECG,..) and respiratory system (vital capacity of the lungs, inspiratory and expiratory volume, etc.), evaluation of metabolism (basal, resting and work metabolism).
