Course content

Themes of seminars: 1. Organization matters, acquaint students with credit requirements, skills diagnostics and knowledge 2. ÚHČJ - passing, shooting after two-count, stop by a step or leap 3. ÚHČJ - shooting when stopped, finishing unsuccessful shots 4. ÚHČJ - releasing with and without the ball, shielding 5. OHČJ - covering of attacker with the ball and covering of attacker after shooting 6. OHČJ - covering of attacker without the ball, covering the area against numerical superiority, catching ball from height 7. ÚHK - combinations based on "throw and go", shielding, based on numerical superiority of attackers over defenders 8. ÚHK - combinations based on breaking free and dribbling 9. HK - breaking free without the ball, passing 10. OHK - overtaking, slipping through when covered, when numerical superiority of attackers 11. ÚHS - gradual attack, fast counter attack 12. OHS - zonal defense 2 - 3, 3- 2, 13. OHS - personal defense, diagnostics 14. repetition, HČJ, HK a HS Requirements to pass: Students' self-studies are guided by the lecturer of the course. The basis of the course is both recommended literature and mainly study materials available at https://moodle.pf.ujep.cz/ Students are expected to individually cover topics of the course stated in the syllabus of the course through self-study. The syllabus is available at the PF UJEP webpage in the STAG system. The rest of the topics shall be covered by the teacher. Feedback is given through testing of students' knowledge during planned sessions and evaluation of seminar papers discussed by e-mail (marcel.zak@ujep.cz). Overall knowledge is evaluated by a final test. Oral re-examination is provided if needed. STAG, the information system of UJEP, is used to record students' academic results.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the study unit is to learn and improve fundamentals o individual games, game combinations and gaming systems in a term of the match, knowledge of basic terminology (attitude, position, turn, etc.), knowledge of a graphic situation marking and fundamentals of decision during a match.
Student is able to apply individual basketball activities, combinations and game systems during the game and arbitring a game. He is also able to diagnose primary movements of physical activities which affect and determine its quality and efficiency.

Knowledge of basic rules of basketball, mastered the basic basketball playing skills.

80 % attendance Examination of basketball rules, basic terminology and graphical marking of game situations Arbitrating of the game Game performance Practical tests: a) - shooting after two-count - 3x from the left, 3x from the right Evaluation: Technique of execution, effectiveness 5/6, only 1 misstake allowded b) - shooting in a jump from distance cca 3 m - the ball must be thrown in the "dead" point Evaluation: Technique of execution c) - free throw shooting - 5 x Evaluation: Minimal effectiveness 3/5 d)- complex exercise (www.ujep.cz) Evaluation: Technique of execution e)- "Dribbling slalom" between 4 points 3m distant from each other - 3x back and forth Evaluation: Technique of execution, time- women 24 s, men 22 s
