Course content
Topics: Subject and development of pedagogical psychology Methodology of educational psychology The essence of learning. Types of learning and characteristics of basic types of human learning The process and laws of learning Learning conditions Psychology of the school classroom. The personality of a special educator/counselor. Pedagogical competence. The personality of the educator. Age and individual differences The concept of education in selected psychological directions.

Learning outcomes
The main goal of the course is to lay the foundations of psychological training in the field of educational psychology and, together with other professional disciplines, to form professional competence in the field of counseling. Students will master the basic principles of learning in the field of psychomotor, intellectual, social and emotional, social psychological and psychohygienic learning conditions. They get to know the development of the personality of the educator and those who influence him, in connection with the process of developing the individual uniqueness of the pupils. They get to know the techniques of character education, the function of conscience and morality in the performance of the profession.
The skill to determine psychological phenomena that are used in the education of pupils, the skill to influence current psychological phenomena and characteristics of pupils. The ability to shape the attitudes, values and motivation of pupils. Mastering the techniques of own effective self-education. Sub-goals: Development of the ability to act assertively and tactfully in future teachers. To form a model of a person who knows how to live life happily and richly. The student can stimulate the creativity of pupils and apply his own flexible thinking. Demonstrate healthy self-confidence and resilience to solve challenging situations in education.

Completion of the courses Introduction to psychology and ontogenetic psychology.

Credit will be awarded for participation in the listed assessed activities: a) Active participation in class. B) Project. C) Final test. The exam will be implemented in the form of interim study results, a project and a final test.
