Course content
Content of lectures / seminars: Determination of developmental psychology and ontogenetic psychology, importance of developmental perspective in psychology, basic developmental processes. Sensitive period in an ontogenesis of an individual? Prenatal period, delivery period, neonatal period and their importance in the continuum of life for further development, infant period, toddler main developmental trends. Pre-school age Characteristics of school maturity, Younger school age (development of cognitive processes, emotional and social development) Older school age (development of cognitive processes, emotional and social development, sexual development), Adolescence, Developmental changes in adulthood and old age Theory of human development and their critical evaluation. Piaget and his cognitive development theory. Individual stages of development; Erikson's theory. Plasticity of development. Emotional and sexual development. Internalization of social (especially moral) norms, development of moral reasoning - Kohlberg The causes of differences in the psychological development of boys and girls, men and women. Family as a basic socializing factor. Basic types of education. Psychological deprivation in childhood Types of parental interaction.

Students are encouraged to look at the man in terms of understanding the importance of developmental changes and patterns depending on developmental differences and possibilities of education.
- To explain the differences between the various theories of individual ontogenesis - Describe the various stages of development from the perspective of an individual motor, cognitive, emotional, moral and   social development - Explain the developmental differences between individuals - Is able to distinguish between normal and abnormal development of the individual - Able to distinguish symptoms of emotional and physical deprivation of an individual in his development - Can analyze the interaction patterns in the family and upbringing

Completing the course the basics of general psychology.
