Course content
1. Human sexuality - basic concepts. 2. History of sexuality (human sexuality in different stages, cultures and religions). 3. Taboo and open sex education. Age peculiarities of sexual education in childhood and adolescence. 4. Sex education in educational systems in Europe and in the Czech Republic. Issues of sexual education in FEP ZV. 5. Didactics of sex education: "How to talk to children about sex." 6. Biological basis of human fertility. Reproductive health. Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) 7. Parenting. IPPF. Parenting planning. Risks of abortion, moral and ethical issues. 8. Tradition and present of partnerships. Family functional and dysfunctional. 9. Ontogenesis of human sexuality (development of sexual identification, orientation and sexual behavior). Homosexuality. 10. Sexual deviation and delinquency. Selected chapters from the Criminal Procedure Code. 11. CSA syndrome. Commercial sexual abuse of children. Protecting children from sexual abuse. 12. Sexuality of people with disabilities and mental retardation, prevention of abuse of children with special needs. 13. Didactics of sex education: "How to teach children caution". 14. Teacher's personality and his preconditions for the implementation of school sex education.

Learning outcomes
The course provides basic expertise in the field of human sexuality, in all its dimensions (in terms of biological, psychological, spiritual, emotional, social, cultural). Introduces the development of sexual identification, orientation and sexual behavior. It provides basic information on sexual deviance and the issue of sexual delinquency. It deals with the traditions and present of partnerships. Provides methodological guidance for the implementation of school sex education. Emphasis is placed on understanding the importance of sexuality in human life in the broadest sense, on the care of reproductive health and on the protection of children from sexual abuse with an emphasis on virtual space.
The graduate of the course is able to perform sex education acceptable to families with different parts of the world opinions, with a special focus on protection against sexual abuse. He orients himself in the history and present of sex education as well as the issue of sexual deviation and delinquency.

The course does not require any specific prerequisites.

Assessment methods and criteria

Active participation in the seminar to the appropriate extent defined by UJEP regulations. Successful completion of the credit test and elaboration of a semester work.
