The course builds mainly on the disciplines of contemporary Czech language, literature for children and youth and didactics, which students at the Department of Pre-School and Primary Education met during their studies. The discipline is intended for students who are preparing for the Final State Examination in Czech Language and Literature with Didactics. Students should thus demonstrate comprehensive knowledge in selected current issues of the field, which they acquired during their studies. Based on the already acquired knowledge and competencies, they create a comprehensive view of children's literature and nativ language, its functioning in communication and in primary education. In literature for children and youth, attention is also focused on literary theoretical issues, contemporary authors, children's magazines and current cultural activities in society and the school environment.
