Course content
1. Introduction to the subject, acquaintance with the aims and content of the subject, with recommended and expanding literature. Assignment of seminar work. Communication of conditions for granting credit. 2. Introduction to the issues of social communication (basic concepts - social perception, social communication, factors influencing social perception). 3. Pedagogical communication (specifics of pedagogical communication, functions of pedagogical communication, rules of pedagogical communication, forms of communication). 4. Verbal communication (social psychological view of verbal communication, types of verbal communication, development of communication skills - active listening, ability to argue, asking questions, feedback, paralinguistic aspects of speech). 5. Nonverbal communication (ways of communication through nonverbal means, "body language"). 6. Pedagogical interaction and its social aspects (types of pedagogical interaction, attitudes of the teacher towards the child, the teacher's expectations). 7. Communication skills of a teacher (pitfalls and priorities of spoken speech). 8. Development of communication competence in children of younger school age (content of communicative competence, place of language and communicative activities of children in educational work). 9. Teaching dialogue, feedback in communication, communication initiated by students. 10. Relational level of educational communication (power constellations in the classroom). 11. Presentation of students' seminar papers. 12. Evaluation of the course of seminars, self-reflection of students, credits.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to develop, deepen and consolidate skills related to the process of verbal and nonverbal communication as a means of pedagogical interaction between teacher and student or students, between teacher and parents.
The student is able to define the basic concepts associated with the issue of social and pedagogical communication, characterize the nature and function of verbal and nonverbal communication, state the types of social and pedagogical interaction and explain its social aspects. He masters his speech well, he is able to realize the spoken speech according to contracts, evaluates their speech according to specified criteria, uses appropriately in the communication of non-verbal means, contributes its approach to creating a positive work environment. Can prepare and lead methodically correct activities on support for children's communication skills, taking into account their age specificities.

1. Active participation in the lecture 2. Seminar work on a selected topic submitted in printed form in the specified deadline (topics for seminar work will be published by the teacher at the beginning of the semester). 3. Successful completion of a credit test aimed at checking the acquired curriculum.
