History of outdoor teaching, the influence of Czech eco-educators. 4. Different approaches to outdoor teaching abroad. 5. Current state of outdoor education in the Czech Republic. 6. Benefits of outdoor teaching. 7. Obstacles to outdoor teaching. 8. School gardens. 9. Didactic principles of implementation of outdoor teaching. 10. Space for outdoor teaching in Czech curricular documents. 11. Examples of successfully implemented outdoor teaching I. - subjects about nature 12. Examples of successfully implemented outdoor teaching II. - mathematics, Czech language 13. Examples of successfully implemented outdoor teaching III. - education 14. Non-governmental non-profit organizations offering outdoor learning programs.

Learning outcomes
The course is devoted to outdoor teaching as one of the modern methods of mediating the curriculum for primary school students. It introduces the history of outdoor teaching and discusses the benefits and impacts of this approach on students. Part of the course is the introduction of programs focused on outdoor teaching in the environment of non-governmental non-profit organizations.
The student characterizes outdoor teaching, its specifics, benefits and obstacles to its implementation. Creates an implementation proposal selected educational content in the form of outdoor teaching. Can communicate with non-governmental organizations engage in the field. Incorporate outdoor teaching into the curriculum of a regular primary school.

The course does not require any specific prerequisites.

Assessment methods and criteria

Active participation in the seminar to the appropriate extent defined by UJEP regulations. Successful completion of the credit test and elaboration of a semester work.
