Course content
1. Geometry in textbooks for primary schools. 2. Didactic testing of geometry (knowledge / accuracy of drawing). Problems of entrance tests and preparation of students for these tests. 3. Non-traditional approaches to teaching geometry (black box method, confrontation method, ship meeting method, Gordon's method, Philips 66 method, Hobo method, use of ICT, folding paper. Work with students with SPU + work with gifted students. 4. Projection - display of space in a plane (central projection, parallel projection). Cabry Geometry, Geogebra. 5. Basic construction tasks in textbooks for the 1st level of primary schools. 6. Derivation of formulas for circuit and content calculation. 7. Parallel projection (various types of parallel projection, especially free parallel projection). Pop-Up Geometry 8. Construction of parallel projections of spatial formations and reconstruction of spatial formations from their parallel projections. 9. Solution of constructive problems in space using free parallel projection (Sections of bodies. Their use in the development of spatial imagination, etc.). Parallel illumination of bodies (drop shadow, body's own shadow). Paper folding geometry. 10. Line size, line length. The essence and principle of line measurement. Measurement of lines in the curriculum of the first grade school. 11. Measure of shapes, content of shapes. The essence and principle of shape measurement. The content of a rectangle and a square, or other figures at the first grade school. 12. Topological representation, simple curve as a topological image of a line, simple closed curve as a topological image of a circle 13. Topological terms: neighborhood of a point, inner, outer and boundary point of a formation, limited formation. 14. Topological terms: boundaries of a unit, closed unit, open unit, non-overlapping units, continuous unit.

Learning outcomes
In the subject Geometry with Didactics, a system of geometric concepts necessary for teaching geometry at the first stage of primary school is creatively developed. Increased attention is paid to geometric, especially spatial imagination, the quality of graphic communication and modern elements that penetrate the teaching of geometry in terms of supporting material and applications / programs. The student will get acquainted, for example, with the program Geogebra, or the possibilities of working with interfaces enabling video calls and video conferencing. Emphasis will be placed on the use of non-traditional teaching methods and forms for the maximum possibility of involving students with SPU or gifted students during teaching. These methods include the black box method, the confrontation method, the ship meeting method, the Gordon method, the Philips 66 method, the Hobo method, paper folding and more. All these methods will be supplemented by work with a textbook and test sets and interspersed with practical examples.
The student can: - describe the occurrence of geometric objects in textbooks for the 1st stage of primary school, ¨ - determine the type of screenings and also draw within those screenings, - solve construction problems, - define the degree of lines / shapes and describe the use in the curriculum at the 1st stage of primary school - define topological concepts
Prerequisites
The subject requires no specific prerequisites.

Assessment methods and criteria
