Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with significant historical events in Czech history of the 20th century. Students should gain an understanding of the development of Czech society in a pan-European context and the causes and consequences of the actions of the Czech political representation both in foreign and domestic politics and their influences or references to contemporary events in the Czech Republic. The seminars are based on the students' cooperation in working through the individual topics so that they understand the value of history not only as part of their general knowledge base, but also as an opportunity to acquire a critical approach to the information presented, which is essential not only for evaluating the history of the 20th century. There will be a greater emphasis on the 20th century than on previous phases.
