Course content
1. Introduction to the content of the course, basic literature, credit requirements. 2. Bases of design in kindergarten. Project and project method in kindergarten. 3. Advantages and disadvantages of the project, three-phase model of learning. 4. Mind map and its application in projects, discussion and brainstorming. 5. Approaches to the design of educational work in kindergarten. Integrated thematic unit and project. 6. Creating your own project. 7. Micro-outputs of students' own projects. 8. Micro-outputs of students' own projects. 9. Micro-outputs of students' own projects. 10. Solving problem situations in student projects. 11. Examples of projects with pitfalls of educational problems.

Learning outcomes
The course develops thinking in context, teaches to integrate activities into thematic units, projects based on experiential and cooperative learning. Orientation in the issue of goals, content, conditions and means of preschool education and penetrate into the essence of planning and design in preschool education
Describe the basis of design in school, describe the history of the design method and list the main representatives. Based on the knowledge of the three-phase learning model, prepare examples of work with children in a selected area. Describe the creation of a project at school, create an example of progress on specific content and present in a seminar. List the possible risks of the implementation of the integrated thematic unit and the project.

Assessment methods and criteria

Active participation in the seminar to the appropriate extent defined by UJEP regulations. Successful completion of the credit test and elaboration of a semester work.
