Course content
1. Digital technology, the use of the Internet in the work of kindergarten teachers. 2. Interactive whiteboards in kindergartens. Tablets and other touch devices in kindergarten. 3. Other multimedia devices in kindergarten. 4. Algorithms in everyday life. Possibilities of developing algorithmic thinking. 5. Interdisciplinary relations - mathematical pre-literacy (development of spatial orientation) 6. Software for children. 7. Children's programming languages. 8. Digital and robotic toys. 9. Teaching methods and forms using digital technologies. 10. Safe work with digital technologies in kindergarten. 11. Digital technology in the life of kindergarten. 12. Organization of controlled activities with digital technologies in groups. 13. Digital corner. Pupils' own creation using digital technologies.

Learning outcomes
The course prepares kindergarten teachers for the development of children's informatics thinking. The aim is to prepare teachers for what methods and procedures they can use to support computer thinking in relation to mathematical pre-literacy. The student should generally understand the meaning of digital technologies, be able to use digital technologies to support the development of children's skills for playing and learning.
The student can: - work with digital technology in kindergarten - Programming software for children - Programming robots for children - organize controlled activities with digital technologies in groups
Prerequisites
It is believed theorists tackling the challenges associated with the concepts of relations and operations.

Assessment methods and criteria

Active participation in seminars. Creating an activity, including a worksheet focusing on the development of children's computer thinking (using a robotic toy or educational software). Analysis of the state of use of digital technologies in a specific kindergarten (use in the educational process, in cooperation with parents) and a proposal for the development of the analyzed kindergarten in terms of digital technologies. Continuous fulfillment of partial tasks.
