Course goal: To develop the ability to plan, deliver and reflect on a primary-school music lesson in which vocal and singing activities dominate, with an emphasis on effective song teaching. The course aims to deepen students? understanding of children?s musical creativity in vocal activities and to equip them with methodological procedures for warm-ups, articulation and intonation training, work with two-part/three-part singing, and supporting pupils with limited singing skills, including principles of vocal hygiene. A practice-oriented seminar focused on the didactics of vocal and singing activities in primary music education. Topics include objectives and methods of singing education, preparatory vocal exercises, warm-ups, articulation drills, intonation training, voice characteristics (voice onset, registers), aesthetic-educational work with songs, basic approaches to teaching part-singing and its role in music education, strategies for working with non-singers, and fundamentals of vocal hygiene and common voice disorders. Course credit is awarded based on active participation and an independent practical output with methodological and subject-matter justification.
