Course content
|
This course explores the multifaceted strategies needed to unlock the potential of gifted learners. The course content includes the characteristics of gifted learners, their dual exceptionality, and methods of working with them in primary schools such as the implementation of differentiated instruction, acceleration and enrichment methodologies.A key component is a thorough understanding of the social and emotional needs of gifted learners along with fostering collaboration between teachers and gifted learners in primary schools.Finally, the focus will be on creating a stimulating environment that provides a comprehensive view of best practices in primary education for gifted learners at the tertiary level.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the basic principles of working with gifted pupils in primary school, including their personal characteristics.
Student after successful completion of the course will be able to plan, conduct and evaluate teaching in the fields of educational work with small materials and construction activity in primary school. The student knows the principles of learning psychomotor skills, is able to set educational goals and benefit from adequate educational methods, forms, policies and resources. Students are able to practice in their own operations to apply the acquired knowledge of technology, knows the basic technical materials and control technology to work with them. Students observe the principles of safety and hygiene. Demonstrated creativity and resourcefulness in selecting suitable working themes taking into account the age peculiarities and abilities of the children.
