Course content
Through simpler literary texts accompanied by vivid illustrations depicting the narrative, students will become acquainted with traditional fairy tales of both Czech and foreign origin, Czech legends, and short stories. They will also delve into the fundamentals of the Czech grammatical system, acquiring and expanding their vocabulary. Practice exercises related to literary themes will reinforce their understanding of grammar and vocabulary. This approach not only enables students to comprehend classic Czech literary works but also equips them to accurately reproduce and actively communicate about them in Czech as a foreign language.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to teach beginners and slightly advanced non-native speakers to understand spoken and written Czech through working with accessible texts from Czech classical literature.
Student after successful completion of the course will be able to plan, conduct and evaluate teaching in the fields of educational work with small materials and construction activity in primary school. The student knows the principles of learning psychomotor skills, is able to set educational goals and benefit from adequate educational methods, forms, policies and resources. Students are able to practice in their own operations to apply the acquired knowledge of technology, knows the basic technical materials and control technology to work with them. Students observe the principles of safety and hygiene. Demonstrated creativity and resourcefulness in selecting suitable working themes taking into account the age peculiarities and abilities of the children.
