Course content

The course will delve into various facets of alternative education. It will begin by exploring the historical roots and evolutionary trajectory of alternative educational practices. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the fundamental alternative approaches in education, elucidating their underlying principles. A dedicated section of the course will spotlight specific alternative school models such as Waldorf, Montessori, Dalton, Freinet school, among others, offering insights into their distinctive methodologies. A critical aspect that the course will address is the nuanced difference between alternative and innovative education. Finally, the curriculum will bring attention to the dynamics of alternative education in the contemporary era, providing a comprehensive perspective on current trends and practices in this field."

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the basic principles of alternative education and its application in current pedagogical practice.
Student after successful completion of the course will be able to plan, conduct and evaluate teaching in the fields of educational work with small materials and construction activity in primary school. The student knows the principles of learning psychomotor skills, is able to set educational goals and benefit from adequate educational methods, forms, policies and resources. Students are able to practice in their own operations to apply the acquired knowledge of technology, knows the basic technical materials and control technology to work with them. Students observe the principles of safety and hygiene. Demonstrated creativity and resourcefulness in selecting suitable working themes taking into account the age peculiarities and abilities of the children.
