The discipline is intended for students who want to deepen their didactic competencies for teaching foreign pupils in the multicultural class of primary school. The course builds on the disciplines of the contemporary Czech language, pedagogy and psychology, with which students became acquainted during their studies. The aim of the course is to inform students about the latest research results focused on the acquisition of the target language and its teaching with regard to internal language, interlanguage and non-linguistic relationships, according to the most current requirements of primary education from the perspective of teachers and foreign needs. Students will learn the most important information about the current principles of European language policy, the European model of foreign language teaching and its application in the school practice of primary schools in the Czech Republic. These findings will give them insight into the linguistic and psycholinguistic problems that the Czech language teacher solves in his practice in a multicultural classroom. Students learn to choose adequate methodological procedures and independently create appropriate exercises from the Czech language for work with foreign pupils.
