Course content
Topics: 1. Gifting, implicit theory, models of talent. 2. A child with extraordinary talent, characteristics and specific expressions. A child with intellectual talent. Types of talent. 3. Gifting and Disability (SPU, ADHD, AS,?); underprivileged gifted pupils. 4. Pedagogical and psychological diagnostics. Working with a consultancy report. Diagnostic tasks. 5. Integrated pupil with talent, individual educational plan. 6. Content and forms of education, effective and inefficient strategies, pedagogical principles in gifted education, mistakes in gifted education. 7. Emotions. Self-esteem of an individual with giftedness. Perfectionism in Gifted. 8. Differentiation and individualization in teaching, educational offer for gifted pupil. 9. Problem creation, their properties, the problem-posing method "What if not?". 10. Efficient regulation of difficulty of the task; the zone of closest development; didactic games and their effective use. 11. Promoting creativity, developing divergent thinking. Tasks of divergent and convergent character. 12. Interaction of the gifted pupil with the environment, internal motivation and external pressure on the pupil, cooperation with parents, case studies. 13. Teacher of gifted pupil. Teacher's portfolio of learning tasks, didactic materials, information resources. 14. Assessment of teaching and tasks.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to educate intellectually talented pupils so that they do not make mistakes in their education, but on the contrary, to help pupils' talents to develop effectively. Attention is paid to the education of a pupil with a combination of disability and extraordinary talent and the issue of pupil education with talent in primary school. Students will acquire basic knowledge of pedagogical diagnostics of extraordinary talent, learn about different approaches to modify the content and forms of teaching of gifted pupil. Attention will be focused on the creation of educational offer, selection, creation and solution of suitable learning tasks, but also to support the social inclusion of gifted pupils. Students will learn useful information resources and will learn how to use them efficiently when working with talented pupils.
Student): - knows basic specific manifestations of exceptionally gifted pupils of younger school age, - knows the basic education strategies of gifted, knows which strategies are inappropriate for working with gifted ones, - can work with the counseling report and with the individual educational plan of the pupil, - can create appropriate tasks for a gifted pupil and integrate them into an educational offer.

Assessment methods and criteria

As part of the individual work, the student will create a concrete example of the educational offer for the pupil with talent in the context of the wider issues of education of talented and individual specifics, which he describes; takes into account possible use in teaching. The results will be delivered in the form of a seminar paper in electronic form to the teacher who will perform the check. Credit test (at least 70% success rate).
