Learning outcomes
The subject should become a fundamental philosophical problem of ethics. One of the goals will be to lead future teachers to the culture of moral consciousness, feeling and acting, as well as to orienting themselves in the pluralistic problem of today, given the generally accepted natural principles of morality. On the one hand, the course will systematically introduce the main topics of general ethics (relationship between knowledge and desire, relationship between morality and morality, good and evil, external and internal freedom, conscience, moral law, human dignity and fundamental human rights), on the other will be given a basic historical overview of important ethical theories and their argumentation procedures from ancient Greece to today (sophistry, Sokrates, Plato, Aristotle, antique hedonism, Christian ethics, utilitarianism, Kant, existentialist ethics, ethics of discourse and communication, ethics of responsibility, analytic ethics ). However, it should not be a mere gallery of diverse views on ethical issues in history and present, but above all to emphasize the significance of these diverse ethical solutions for today's human beings with which ethical issues are of fundamental importance. Thus, it will not be the first place of history itself, but of looking at the problems and possibilities of human being for us as heirs and bearers of European culture.
Student eligibility: The student will demonstrate the ability of ethical and moral imagination, empathetic thinking, tolerance and respect for attitudes and opinions of other people.
