Course content
1. Introduction to the subject, familiarization with the objectives and content of the subject, with recommended and expanding literature. Assignment of the seminar paper. Communication of the conditions for granting the credit. 2. Introduction to social communication (basic concepts - social perception, social communication, factors influencing social perception). 3. Pedagogical communication (specifics of pedagogical communication, pedagogical communication function, rules of pedagogical communication, forms of communication). 4. Verbal communication (social-psychological view of verbal communication, types of verbal communication, development of communication skills - active listening, ability to reason, questioning, feedback, paralingvistic aspects of speech). 5. Nonverbal communication (ways of communication through non-verbal means, "body language"). 6. Pedagogical interaction and its social aspects (types of pedagogical interaction, teacher's attitudes towards the child, teacher's expectations). 7. Communicative skills of the teacher (pitfalls and priorities of spoken speech). 8. Development of communication competence in children of younger school age (content of communicative competence, instead of language and communicative activities of children in educational work). 9. Learning dialogue, feedback in communication, communication initiated by pupils. 10. Relationship plane of learning communication (power constellation in the classroom). 11. Presentation of students' seminar papers. 12. Evaluation of the seminars, self-reflection of students, credits.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to develop, deepen and consolidate skills related to the verbal and nonverbal communication process as a means of pedagogical interaction between the teacher and the pupil or the pupils, between the teacher and the parents.
Learning outcomes: The student is able to define the basic concepts related to social and pedagogical communication, to characterize the nature and function of verbal and non-verbal communication, to state the types of social and pedagogical interaction and to explain its social aspects. He / she manages his / her speech well, can make a spoken speech according to the order, assesses his / her speech according to specified criteria, appropriately uses in communicating non-verbal means, contributes to the creation of a positive working environment. It is able to prepare and conduct methodically correct activities in support of children's communication skills, taking into account their age specifics.

1. Active participation in contact education 2. Successful mastering of a credit test aimed at controlling acquired curriculum. 3. Seminar work on selected topic delivered in printed form within a specified deadline (topics for the seminar work will be published by the teacher at the beginning of the semester).
