Course content
1. Didactics of the Czech language and its relation to other disciplines of science. Development of style and communication education. 2. Concept of teaching Czech in terms of diachronic and synchronous. Contemporary Conception of Style and Communication Education. The concept of style and communication education in RVP for ZV.3. A comprehensive approach to mother tongue. Basic features and principles of language education. Communication education at elementary school as a component of Czech language and literature. Communication and teacher as a communication pattern. Rules of pedagogical communication. 4. The concept and objectives of basic education. The overall characteristics of the subject, its components and their integration 5. Definitions and Principles of the Framework Educational Program for Basic Education in the Curriculum Documents System. ŠVP. Key Competences of Students at Elementary School. Student with SEN in the subject of CU. Dialogue in Teaching in Primary School. The share of teacher and pupil in the learning dialogue. Asking questions and communicating aspects of the learning dialogue. Communication and language education, communication and style education from the point of view of the ontogenetic development of the pupil's speech (with regard to the respective level of the school and to pupils with SEN). 7. Expected outcomes / objectives, curriculum and resources in language, style and communication education in 1st and 2nd period of elementary education. 8. Methods and methods of work which stimulate teaching and promote pupil creativity in Czech language lessons and style, methods and forms of work in language teaching and style at primary school level in pupils with SEN.9. Czech language textbooks for elementary school and other aids for pupils with SEN. Teacher's work according to different rows of textbooks at primary school in Czech language lessons (including textbooks suitable for pupils with SEN). 10. The Organization of Language Teaching, Planning, Types and Structure of Teaching Hours. Preparing the teacher for the lesson of the mother tongue and an hour of style. Teaching mother tongue and style in classroom schools. Preparing for a student with SEN. The specifics of mother tongue teaching in pupils with SVP..13. Repairs of grammar works (dictates, grammar exercises, control papers) and assessment of pupils with SEN in primary school in Czech language lessons. The essay work as a complex style exercise, its correction and evaluation in pupils at primary school (including pupils with SEN) .14. Selected problems of the Czech language and style in the 1st level of various linguistic disciplines (especially phonetics, morphology, lexicology, word formation, syntax) and their solution for pupils with SEN. Practice methods, procedures and forms in linguistic and style training, preparation for teaching. Realization / imitation of grammar and style exercises at primary school, work with pupils with SEN - listener outputs in the seminar.

Learning outcomes
The subject follows the disciplines of contemporary Czech language, pedagogy and psychology, which the students became familiar with during their studies. In the subject, the students are preparing to enter teaching practice and work with pupils with SEN. They are acquainted with the concept, content and purpose of teaching in primary school (including pupils with SEN), with different methods and forms of work, with linguistic and psycholinguistic problems solved by the Czech language teacher in their first-level primary school even when teaching pupils with SEN. In the seminars, they learn to work with textbooks for elementary schools (including methodical manuals) and SEN pupils, to independently process and simulate grammar and style exercises, to prepare preparation for classes while students acquire special training methods with respect to pupils with SEN .
In the area of knowledge, students can enumerate, describe and explain the basic features, principles and concepts of language and style education at the first level of schools, define and analyze the specific features of modern Czech language teaching in primary education and evaluate its importance for the pupil's personal development as well as the SEN. In the area of skills, the student can solve the problematic phenomena in the teaching of the Czech language and style at the first level of the school (including pupils with SEN), to design and evaluate different methods and forms of work, to choose adequate methodical procedures (including alternative approaches), which lead to the fulfillment of the expected outputs / objectives according to FEP / SEP ZV.

Assessment methods and criteria

The subject is 5 hours of contact instruction (see the topics marked in bold), the other topics will be subject to a separate study according to the study support (http://projekty.ujep.cz/js_opory_1st/) and the list of literature. The condition for successful completion of the course is active participation in tutorials (80% attendance) and fulfillment of the requirements mentioned above. Written communication with the teacher is via e-mail (jaromira.sindelarova@ujep.cz). Based on the positive assessment the student will be awarded a credit and examination (study control).
