Course content
The course focuses on the following topics: 1. Cardinal numbers. Properties of cardinal numbers. 2. Regular numbers. Attributes of ordinal numbers. 3. Expansion of numerical fields 4. Entire numbers 5. Integer properties 6. Introduce rational numbers 7. Properties of rational numbers 8. Fragments 9. Decimal numbers 10. Irrational numbers 11. The infinite problem 12. Real numbers

Learning outcomes
The subject Arithmetics with Didactics II together with the subject of Arithmetics and Didactics I in the winter semester of the 2nd year prepares students for their teaching at the first level of elementary school in terms of gaining numerical skills and didactical methodical experience. In the lectures the student obtains the necessary information in a comprehensive system, the exercises are used to solve mathematical problems, experimenting, discovering mathematical contexts and creating mathematical problems. In the didactic aspect of the subject, the teaching is based on the principles of didactic constructivism. In the style of teaching the subject tries to transfer the elements of mathematical discovery and creation into the future pedagogical work of the students. Emphasis will be placed on the use of non-traditional teaching methods and forms for maximum involvement of pupils with SPUs and possibly gifted pupils during classes. For individual numerical fields, students will meet the problems of dyscalculia.

Prerequisites
Completing the subject Arithmetics with didactics I. Active participation in teaching. Completion of the credit test (success rate of at least 70%). Seminar work.
