Course content
Seminar topics: 1. Stylistics - Style. Basic terminology of the field with respect to the school practice at the primary school. 2. Style - Language Style: Language Speech. Stylistic / styling process in relation to the communication process. 3. Classification of language styles. Functional style. 4. Construction of language and style: stylistic phenomena of the thematic construction and text structure (style procedures - horizontal and vertical text division). 5. Stylistic differentiation - basic phenomena associated with it. 6. Stylistic differentiation of the means of speech 7. Stylistic differentiation of morphology. 8. Stylistic differentiation of lexical and word-forming means. 9. Stylistic differentiation of syntactic devices. 10 .- 13. Description and characteristics of professional, administrative, publicistic, rhetorical, simple and artistic styles.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to deepen, broaden and systematize knowledge about linguistic style phenomena, develop the ability to consciously apply them in the process of analyzing the construction and style of specific language manifestations. The seminars are focused on the basic areas of contemporary Czech stylistics with regard to their status and application in school practice at the primary school level.
Student: - Manages the basic terminology of stylistics - can classify language expressions in terms of their functional-style focus - can identify the style flag of the selected language resource - can apply the theoretical knowledge of stylistics in the creation of texts is able to apply theoretical knowledge of stylistics in the repairs of school style work on stage 1

Assessment methods and criteria

Students will receive a credit for 100% attendance at a seminar and a successful passing a credit test. The credit test consists of the tasks resulting from the thematic plan of the seminars.
