Course content
1. Social risk phenomena and their changes from a developmental perspective 2. Sources and causes of socially risky and pathological phenomena and deviation I 3. Sources and causes of socially risky and pathological phenomena and deviation II 4. Delinquency, criminal behavior I 5. Delinquency, criminal behavior II 6. Penitentiary process and its specifics. Prisonization. 7. Specifics of work within remand imprisonment. 8. Specifics of work within the execution of imprisonment. 9. Treatment programs. Creation of individual plans. Types of activities and forms of work. 10. Post-penitentiary care I. 11. Post-penitentiary care II 12. Post-penitentiary care III 13. Probation and mediation. Alternative programs for working with delinquents.

Learning outcomes
During the course, students will gain theoretical and practical information (excursions, participation in activities with convicts) and knowledge about methods of working with delinquent individuals. They will become familiar with the specifics of penitentiary and post-penitentiary practice. They will gain an overview of current activities and working methods implemented within treatment programs for the above-mentioned individuals. The main topic is the treatment of the offenders.
