The goal of this course is to familiarize its students with the basic terminology in the area of social work with a focus on family. This course is structuralized from the historical concept of social work up to the current dilemma of social work. Special attention is dedicated to the family system, services offered to families as a part of social work, the rules for providing services to families at risk, and the process of family diagnostics. The student knows the basic principles of social work, orientates himself/herself in the code of conduct of a social worker, can process the diagnosis of a family, and submit a plan for social family therapy and its realization.
The student is familiar with the issue.
