Learning outcomes
The goal of this subject is to help students choose an adequate topic for their bachelor's thesis. Another goal is to help them during the process of listing them in the system and in the process of writing. An important part of this subject is dedicated to the basic regulations of The Faculty of Education UJEP defining the process of assigning, approving, and processing the given topic of bachelor's work. Furthermore, students are familiarized with the rules of working on their final theses, their structure, focus, and goals. As a part of seminars, students are familiarized with the correct way of conducting literary searches (accent is put on relevant materials), from which sources to gather the information, and how to cite it. While working closely with the contents of the subject called Methodology of Research in Education, another goal of this subject is to familiarize its students with the aspects of methodology connected with the final thesis: how to make a correct research design, process data, evaluate them, interpret them, and finish with a correct discussion. Students also learn how to formulate a chapter dedicated to data interpretation, discussion, and how to formulate the results and recommendations for praxis.
A student is able to characterize the goal and meaning of bachelor thesis, is able to create a thesis assignment according to the valid regulations and norms of UJEP, can create bibliographical citation of various information sources according to the valid norms, characterize the rules for writing the final thesis, and work individually with the professional sources. Students are able to choose a valid method of data analysis and are able to justify the importance of the choice of this specific topic.
