Practically oriented subject. In terms of content, it focuses on mastering the basics of orchestral conducting, especially on working with school orchestras. In addition to the practical training of compositions and their parts, it consists of the following blocks: 1. Conducting an orchestra and choir 2. Fundamentals of instrumentation for an orchestra (analytical work).

Conducting performances in class, practical rehearsal with an orchestra or with piano accompaniment, participation in rehearsals of professional orchestras (Severočeské divadlo, Severočeská filharmonie), attendance 80%.
