The course is aimed at acquiring theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the fields of music philetics and music therapy. It offers students an insight into the specifics of the use of music as a means of education, communication, personal development, relaxation, etc. They teach the use of elements of music therapy in the school context and social work with different age groups. The first semester is focused more on theory with a gradual overlap into the practical area. The output of the first semester is the elaboration of a case study from own practice.
In case studies, students are able to know and understand the common and different approaches of both disciplines to work (music philetics and music therapy) with musical means of expression and reflection.
