Course content
1. History of folk song. 2. Types of folk songs. 3. Collectors of folk songs. Collection of "Moravian Folk Songs" by F. Sušil and its editors. 4. The beginnings of folklorism, arrangements of folk songs in the work of Czech. composers of the 20th century. Early 20th century, interwar period, occupation, period after II. St. war. 5. Archaic scale series and archaic melodic turns of Moravian song. 6. Main scale series, modality, special tones. 7. Czech song, melody, harm. structure. 8. Harmonic structure, modal connections in the Moravian people. songs. 9. Characteristic connections and cadences in the Moravian people. songs. Mixolydic and lydic functions. 10. Tonal changes in the Moravian people. songs. Fluctuations and changes of one tone of the tone series. 11. Fluctuations and changes of several levels in a single tone series. 12. Tunes with two, three, four fluctuating or changed stages in a single tone series. 13. New period of accordion of Moravian folk song.
