Course content
|
The goal is a detailed mastery of the basics of timing technique - conductor's stance, hand holding, preparatory, starting and final gestures, movement independence of the hands. Basic timing schemes of 2, 3, 4 and 6 beats in medium tempo, legato and staccato. Included are vocal exercises and models of ascending and descending singing and playing scores. All time signatures are practiced while singing and playing folk and folk songs and simple choral scores for children's and women's choirs. Participation in choir concerts, festivals and competitions organized by the department and other institutions.
