Course content

Intonation in the natural key of major - stepwise procedures in the whole range (diatonic). Stepwise procedures combined with other interval jumps. Major quinta-chord with turns and melodic variations, reduced and enlarged quinta-chord, dominant septachord. Rhythmic exercises in quarter, eighth and half bars, in quarter and eighth bars. Diatonic major, basic intervals, scale of major and minor, 5 chords major, minor, enlarged and reduced, with turns, rhythmic education, auditory analysis, monophonic rhythmic, melodic and rhythmic-melodic dictations. Diatonic minor, basic intervals, dominant 7 chord, rhythmic education, auditory analysis, monophonic rhythmic, melodic and rhythmic-melodic dictations.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to cultivate the basics of tonal feeling, anchoring the relationship to harmonic functions, strengthening the metro-rhythmic feeling, training of musical analytical and reproductive skills, acquaintance with intonation methods and the possibilities of their application in musical practice.
The student acquires basic intonation habits and learns to use simple methods to derive and analyze tone, interval and chord. Understands the concept of tone, tonality, harmonic function.
