1. Analysis of selected piano sonatas by L. van Beethoven. 2. Analysis of selected compositions of chamber music of classicism and romanticism. 3. Analysis of selected compositions of symphonic works of classicism and romanticism. 4. Analysis of selected chamber and orchestral compositions of a program nature.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to deepen and improve music theoretical knowledge and the ability of independent orientation in the musical structure in the form of a comprehensive analysis, to grasp the main stylistic principles and content of the work. An important component of teaching are individual or group seminar outputs of students and joint discussions, comparison and evaluation of analytical approaches under the guidance of a teacher.
The student acquires knowledge about the components of music and their development, is able to independent analytical orientation in the musical structure of the compositions of classical and romantic style. In discussions of the analysis of specific works, he acquires in-depth knowledge of the specificity of musical speech and of the issue of the form and constructional solution of compositions by important composers of classicism and romanticism.
