Learning outcomes |
Lectures and seminars are focused on a thorough knowledge of selected syntactic phenomena (including relevant terminology and valency description) and their functioning in various communication situations as a necessary theoretical basis for further knowledge of the Czech syntactic subsystem and to enrich their own repertoire of syntactic means and their proper use in communication. Part of the seminars is the presentation of current literature, work with texts focusing on communicatively pragmatic components of utterances, traditional analysis of the structure of a simple sentence (in confrontation with the valency concept of the description of the syntactic system) and solving specific syntactic tasks. The interpretations refer to the teaching of syntax at primary and secondary schools and are supplemented by knowledge from the syntax of current speech practice.
