Learning outcomes
The lecture is not focused on monitoring the developmental changes of Czech literature, but rather tries to describe and explain the broad-spectrum diversity of older literature from the earliest times to the end of the 18th century, in a transcultural context. Therefore, special attention is paid to the shapes and functions of the main genres of the period that determine the direction of the literary process in a decisive way and at the same time form part of the living cultural heritage. In the seminar, which corresponds to the thematic focus of the lectures, selected texts are interpreted together, through which students learn about older literature and develop their own interpretive skills.
