Course content
The subject targets these topics: 1. mental structures of individuals connected to speech acts 2. gaining language knowledge and its organization in the minds of individuals 3. textual production and perception and their mental proceedings 4. acquiring of a mother tongue, reading, writing; bilingualism, learning of a foreign language 5. social structure and language 6. language planning (language law, official language teaching in multinational states, establishing of a language system, control of a mother tongue and foreign languages teaching, standardization of terminology, standard variant codification) 7. multilingual and cross-cultural competences, language barriers 8. pragmatic features of oral communication 9. communication strategies 10. politeness and tact in language; irony and lie.
