Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the possibilities of leading children and adolescent readers in the teaching of Czech language and literature to the deliberate and thoughtful (strategic) use of procedures that help perceive, to understand and interpret literary and non-literary texts, to orient themselves in their construction and name their thematic and compositional peculiarities. The seminar participants will be provided with procedures for teaching reading strategies, the contribution of which has been confirmed by numerous researches conducted since the 1970s (i.e. mainly procedures for modeling reading strategies, gradual transfer of responsibility and providing support - scaffolding).
