1. Personal presentation (overview of basic information about the student) 2. Description of persons (description of appearance, character traits) 3. Accommodation (types of housing, conditions, equipment) 4. Regime of the day (study, work, leisure activities) 5. Boarding and lifestyle (types of boarding in general + student boarding, healthy nutrition) 6. Revenue and expenditure (management of the personal budget) 7. Travel for experience (transport, accommodation, insurance,?) 8. Medical care (diseases and their treatment, description of health problems) 9. Education and study at universities (levels of education, types, study programs) 10. Career and professional presentation (educational career, plans for the future, necessary qualifications, job description)

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to develop the complete basics of general language and to introduce students to general professional language by expanding vocabulary and developing the skills needed to read simple professional texts. The student - graduate of the course should succeed in communication in simple non-specific professional situations. In addition, students are able to respond to everyday topics in a regular conversation, initiate and develop a conversation, and are able to easily comment on everyday situations in a foreign language.
Students are able to use the language on language level A1 CERF.
Prerequisites
Student is motivated to study a foreign language.

Assessment methods and criteria

Self-study in combination with possible physical / online consultations in order to achieve: - beginner level of German - skills of orientation in the tense system and in the functions of German verbs on the background of the Czech language - acquisition of vocabulary within the given topics - ability to create a simple question and negative in all "basic" grammatical tenses (in both aspects) - ability to present one's own motivation, studies, career and plans for the future (both in writing and orally) Credit requirements / overview of documents to be submitted - Language Center website: https://www.pf.ujep.cz/en/centrum-jazykove-pripravy-kombinovane-studium
