Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to develop students´ language competences in Russian with a focus on reaching the B1/B2 level according to the Common European Framework fo Reference foe Languages. The course builds on students´ previous knowledge and focuses on deepeing their understanding of spoken and written language, expanding vocabulary, consolidating grammatical structures, and improving writing and speaking skills in both everyday and more specialized contexts.

Prerequisites
|
Students are able to use the language to express themselves and to discuss topics concerning their field of study as well as professional focus on language level B1/B2 CERF.

Assessment methods and criteria

Active participation in classes with a minimum attendance rate of 70% and continuous completion of all assigned tasks and activities throughout the course. The Moodle course serves as support for independent study or as an alternative for students participating in the Erasmus+ exchange program who wish to complete the course during their stay abroad. The Moodle course does not replace the final assessment of knowledge. To obtain course credit and take the examination, the student's personal attendance is required. Requirements for Passing the Examination The student shall submit and defend a specialized text related to their field of study and demonstrate the ability to work with specialized Russian-language literature. a) Specialized Text Higher-level Russian: a specialized text of 20 pages. The text must be coherent, academically oriented, and relevant to the student's field of study or area of specialization. b) Specialized Vocabulary The student shall compile a glossary of specialized terms from the selected text. The glossary must contain at least 100 specialized terms and terminological expressions. For each term, the corresponding Czech equivalent must be provided. c) Annotation of the Specialized Text The student shall prepare an annotation (summary) of the selected specialized text in Russian. The annotation must be at least one standard page (A4) in length. It should clearly present the main topic, objectives, content, and conclusions of the text. d) Demonstration of Knowledge of the Specialized Text The student shall demonstrate an understanding of the content of the specialized text. During the examination, the student will read and translate selected passages from the submitted text. The student will answer questions related to the content of the text and the issues it addresses. The student shall demonstrate familiarity with specialized terminology and the ability to communicate professionally in Russian.
