Social issues: crime (breaking the law, types of crime, offences) 10. Social issues: punishment, crime prevention 11. Social issues: environment (problems/solutions) 12. Social issues: environmental protection 13. Technical texts: selected issues (Test 3)

Learning outcomes
The course aims at the aquisition of language for specific academic / professional purposes at upper intermediate level. The main emphasis is on the development of language skills necessary for reading technical texts and on further development of communication skills for various professional and academic situations. Following students´ needs, more vocabulary is built, and grammatical structures typical for technical style in particular fields are consolidated. The languge level corresponds to the B2 level of European reference framework.
Student acquires language skills in foreign language for specific academic and professional purposes at B1 - B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
