Course content
1. Basic concepts in meteorology and climatology. Aims and tools of climatology. 2. Global climate. Fundamental elements of atmospheric and oceanic circulation. 3. Climatograms. Criteria and classification systems. 4. World climatography I. 5. World climatography II. 6. Climate of Europe. 7. Climate of the Czech Republic. Climatic regionalization of the Czech Republic. 8. Typization of synoptic situations. Basics of synoptic climatology. 9. Evolution of the Earth's climate in geological times, in the last millenium and century. 10. Greenhouse effect. Anthropogenic effects on climate. Emission scenarios. 11. Global climatic change. Climate modelling - basic principles. 12. Climate change scenarios in global and regional scales. 13. Climate change impacts on agriculture, water management, forestry, human health. Adaptation and mitigation measures. 14. Reserve.
